I just want to lie there, shirt open, and take my hits and see, and see.

A certain earthly material enchants our protagonist Brad, who has drifted into a life crisis and a type of raw condition. He works with and caresses it. He feels the need to unite with and decay into it. Amor fati focuses on the ancient co-existence between human and clay. It is a living sculpture built on the concept of love. The performance premiered at the Kiasma Theater in the fall of 2017.

The ensemble behind Amor fati consists of playwright and director Anna-Mari Karvonen, artist Anni Puolakka, sound designer Tatu Nenonen, actor Samuli Niittymäki and light designer Heikki Paasonen. Karvonen, Niittymäki and Puolakka have previously collaborated in the project Vibes. Vibes (2012-2015) was a series of performances, texts, installations and videos dealing with methods and experiences related to collective art practices.
