The programme for 2025 has been published

Hangö Teaterträff takes place on 6–8 June 2025. The festival programme includes premieres, Finnish and international works, a children’s programme as well as club and discursive programmes.

“Who are we really, we who make up this festival? Curators, artists, volunteers, festival staff, audience, critics, panelists, pedagogues, visitors – together we create that which, under one weekend in June, in a small town by the coast, becomes a theatre festival. But who are we, really?

This is a festival with a long history. Throughout the years people have come and gone, returned and moved on. And with all these people, the festival has grown, changed, remained the same and changed again. That’s why we’d rather ask “Who?” rather than “What?”. Because this festival, despite everything, is the sum of all the people gathered under its umbrella.

So: Welcome to reflect on the question ‘Who?’ and marvel at how together, over the course of a weekend, we can create a theatre festival that experiences, renews, discusses, argues, agrees, provokes, celebrates, supports, preserves, feels, reflects and surprises. And so much more!”
