Open Call: ZAARE 2026

Welcome to submit your application to the Open Call for Hangö Teaterträff’s project ZAARE for the 2026 festival.

Through its accessibility and diversity project ZAARE, Hangö Teaterträff invites professional performing artists based in Finland to apply for participation in the 2026 festival programme. ZAARE is a long-term initiative aimed at strengthening representation, reaching new audiences and creating spaces where experiences and stories from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds are centred.

The curatorial focus for 2026 falls under the theme Conflict. We are therefore seeking works that aim to challenge, move, unsettle or in some way stand in conflict with a norm.

NOTE! The application closes on December 7th, 2025, or once the number of applications has reached a limit of 50. Decisions will be sent out no later than January 31st, 2026.
