The poor girl Lolla makes the best she can of her living by working at a factory, until the day she buys a goose with her savings. The goose, which gets a lot love and is well taken care of, begins miraculously to poop money.

This is the prelude to the burlesque and crazy story from the newly translated Italian storybook Lo cunto de li cunti (The tale of tales) by Giambattista Basile, the book that formed the basis for the Grimm brother’s fairy tales.
