Festival centre

Hangö Teaterträff has a festival centre that functions as a gathering place for the festival’s audience, artists, and workers. It is a place for people to spend time together, relax, and have something to eat and drink. Our ticket sales are located at the festival centre, where you can also join us for our club nights.

The festival centre is located in Kulturmagasinet Victor (Makasiinikatu), and it is open throughout the festival. During the day, the centre’s program includes performances while in the evenings we celebrate with the festival’s club program. A selection of books on poetry, philosophy and art theory are also available to browse and buy in our book corner staffed by Pp., a small book shop that focuses on the margins of literature. The café and the bar are kept by Cafferie Hanko. Everything served at the festival centre is vegan. Once the club program begins, the festival centre becomes restricted to those over 18 years.

Accessibility at the festival centre

The main entrance is accessible, with a ramp over a low threshold. The building is only one floor, but the performance and club space is separated from the café and bar area with a ramp. There are places to rest and several parking spaces nearby. The building is quite cold even in the summer.

The building has gender-neutral toilets, but unfortunately not an accessible toilet. The nearest accessible toilet is at the Hanko Art Gallery located nearby. If the door is locked, you can ask a member of the festival team to open the door by calling Kristin Helgaker at +358 41 455 4027.
