Over the past decades, numerous contemporary performance makers have developed highly innovative artistic strategies for telling stories in theater that are not based on drama, but rooted entirely in unique performance practices. Starting from Hans-Thies Lehmann’s theory of postdramatic theater, Thomas Frank’s lecture will reflect on the aesthetics of performing stories and new narrations in contemporary theater.
The lecture is a part of LUST’s The Autonomous Actor project that is supported by Svenska Kulturfonden. The lecture is supported by Goethe-Institut Finnland.
